We connected the world.
Then we forgot to protect it.

SoulVeil exists because of a societal problem that has been growing for years — one almost no one is addressing.

The Moment

It started with a single actor and a comment section.

For years, one question kept coming back: Cyberbullying. What it does to children? How early it starts? How little anyone does about it?

I kept asking: what is actually being done?

The answer was always the same. Awareness campaigns. Moderation guidelines. Platform promises.

Nothing that touched what it actually felt like — every time a kid opened their phone.

The concern never left. It just waited.

Then one evening, scrolling through Instagram, I found an actor I'd recently started following.

What stopped me wasn't his content. It was his comments.

Thousands of them, every day. And the way he answered the worst ones — with sarcasm. Alone. In public.

That was the moment.

Not where the concern began. It had been building for years.

But where it all came together — the children, the public figures, the missing infrastructure.

SoulVeil became inevitable.

People think that because they are hidden behind a screen, they can say anything. They forget that on the other side, there is a real person reading every word.

The numbers behind the accumulation

This isn't just a perception.
It's measurable.

Even brief exposure to negative comments can increase anxiety — even without explicit abuse.

Repeated low-level negative interactions are linked to higher stress and reduced well-being — even without overt hate.
Frontiers in Public Health, 2023
62%
of full-time creators report burnout — often driven by constant feedback and audience pressure.
Creators 4 Mental Health Survey, 2026
High volumes of social feedback are associated with prolonged stress responses — including elevated cortisol levels.

The Problem

Social media gave everyone a voice.
It forgot to give anyone a shield.

Social media has done extraordinary things.

It has connected people across borders, amplified unheard voices, and built communities around shared interests and identities.

That is real and it matters.

But it has also brought something darker — and society has been slow to respond.

Cyberbullying among children and teenagers has become a public health crisis — its psychological effects measurable, documented, and serious.

And yet the tools available remain focused almost entirely on the most obvious forms of harm: slurs, threats, explicit hate speech.

The comments that do the most damage — the subtle ones, the cumulative ones, the ones that technically break no rule — pass through every filter, reach every person, and accumulate silently over months and years.

It is not only children. It is public figures, creators, journalists, activists — anyone with any degree of public visibility.

The problem spans generations. The infrastructure to address it does not yet exist.

SoulVeil is building it.

The Founder

Wasla Hamdard

Founder · Munich, Germany

Nine years inside Siemens — across roles, across teams, always close to where technology meets people.

Lately, that has meant AI: turning complex systems into outcomes that hold up in the real world.

But there was always a second thread. Years spent training as a psychological coach and counsellor — learning how people think, feel, and break.

Two paths. One question underneath: how do you build something that protects people?

SoulVeil is where both paths meet.

Not a pivot. Not a side project. The convergence of everything she has spent a decade learning.

The Vision

Technology that connects people
without breaking them.

Connection is worth protecting.

The psychological cost that came with it is not.

Both can be true — with the right infrastructure.

In five years

SoulVeil users experience measurably less psychological pressure — because they had control over what reached them.

Not because harmful content was silenced.

Not because criticism was removed.

Because every person with a public presence decided for themselves — based on psychological effects, not platform policy.

01

Control, not silence.

Nothing is removed. The reader chooses. Criticism, feedback, and real engagement stay visible — only content with a harmful psychological effect is intercepted.

02

Joy, not survival.

No one should have to delete their profile, go private, or go silent because of negativity. Visibility should feel like opportunity — not risk.

03

Connection, not harm.

Connection across the world is worth preserving. We're building the layer that makes it sustainable — psychologically, for life.

Mental health language is everywhere.

Every platform claims to care. Almost none have built anything that proves it.

Mental health architecture is nowhere.

SoulVeil is building it — infrastructure grounded in how psychological effects work, not how they look on a report.

The Team

The right people
found their seat.

SoulVeil is built on the intersection of AI, behavioral science, and engineering.

The core team brings the expertise needed to build infrastructure that works — at the level of psychological reality, not surface-level moderation.
